The self-care has become very popular phrase. But what is the self-care really? Well obviously it does not consist only of the skincare routine or face mask on Sunday, so we wanted to create this list to help you with little tricks throughout the day to make your life a little better. And the life consist of little details, so the better the details, the better the life. We will update this list constantly. So here it goes.
#1
Do it all the time.
Self-care isn’t just for Sundays. It isn’t a face mask only. It embraces a lot of aspects of our life – little habits we acquire and how we act in relationships. It isn’t about putting yourself first, but rather always thinking about yourself and choices that you make in an overall wellness perspective.
#2
Set your phone on the “Do not disturb mode”, while reading the chapter or two from
the book you’re currently into.
Or watching your favorite TV series. Or indulging into “Friends” binge. This time is to enjoy and get into what’s happening with characters. It’s so easy to get distracted and you should enjoy reading to it’s fullest potential.
#3
Do your PM skincare routine earlier to avoid chance of not doing it at all!
We know we are lazy so we do it around 6PM. You can do it after you get home after work – it is perfect time for your skin to be naked and supplied with vitamins.
#4
Make sleep part of your self-care routine.
Sleep is often underestimated and we rarely see it as a priority. If you haven’t enough rest, you won’t be able to workout or even eat healthy and clean. It is so important and has huge impact on your health both mentally and physically. Studies show that adults should get 7-9 hours of sleep and the 9 is the sweet spot.
#5
Don’t eat kale if you hate it.
Regardless of it’s rich nutritional components, stick to healthy foods that is most appealing to you. Simple, delicious and healthy food should be your option number one and it is easier to achieve than you think. Check our recipes category for more inspiration.
#6
Say no to things you really don’t want to do.
If you genuinely do not feel like doing it and have your reasons, say that “no” even if it’s frustrating. You will feel better afterwards and escape stress, procrastination or anxiety.
#7
Do that one thing you’ve been putting off.
Laundry, bills, a phone call that give you anxiety. Why wouldn’t you do it earlier, because it won’t go anywhere unless you check that “to do” list of yours as done. As we like to put it – do the most nasty job in the first place.
#8
Randomly call your friend or a family member.
Just to chat about anything that’s going on recently. It is a great way to maintain relationship or reconnect with family and friends you might have drifted from. We all get too busy sometimes, but we should find that 10 minutes for the ones who are important to us.
