2020 has been an incredibly difficult year, but we have little tricks to make you feel better and enjoy your life more.
Stay as much present as possible.
Living in the past causes depression. Living in the future causes anxiety. We lose connection with people around us, don’t enjoy beautiful sunrise or our morning coffee. We need to pay attention to present moment and be available to the people we love, because if not now, when will you live?
Practice gratitude.
This seemed to us a bit cheesy at first when we heard about gratitude diary from some well-known instagrammers, but months after we started to value it as a very efficient form of really really feeling happiness in your life. We take some many things as granted so why not stop, notice good things around and take a moment to appreciate them.
Connect with people.
Showing attention to people is really good way to receive positive vibes too. Call your grandma or an old friend and chat for ten minutes, even this will make change! We live in mentally difficult times and showing support for others is very important.
Engage in meditation.
Learning how to meditate may be really helpful to calm yourself. We all need quiet period of time during our day. You can start from the most simple form of breathing exercises and explore more advanced meditation techniques.
Keep it tidy.
Declutter your environment from the mess and things you don’t really need. Keeping it simple and minimalistic will make you feel less anxious and more focused. Explore more about Swedish death cleaning – it may sound too early, but in reality this term is about the process of organizing and de-cluttering your belongings so you are keeping only the things that have value.
Block negative energy.
Be very self-conscious about what and who you let into your life. Do not listen to bad and upsetting news, minimize contacts with toxic people and do this more and more with each day. Draw your boundaries and create the positive world around you which contains positive thinking, positive thinking and positive people.
Set your goals.
The sense of growing everyday brings the fulfillment to many people and it makes you feel good. You should not only set your goals, but define your everyday tasks which are needed to achieve those goals. Your goal may be learning a new skill or being as fit as you possibly can be, but those practical tasks are the key to really make it happen.
